HOW LONG SHOULD I KEEP MY TAX RECORDS FOR?
6 years, except for information relating to the cost of an asset such as shares or property. This information should be kept for longer to ensure that the capital gain on disposal can be accurately calculated.
WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICE FEES?
My basic fee for completing a UK Self Assessment Tax Return is £220. There are additional fees if additional Tax Return pages are needed, and discounts available for some clients. Note that my practice is small so I do not need to charge VAT on top of this fee.
WHAT IS A CHARTERED TAX ADVISER (CTA)?
A Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) is a tax professional who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). Membership of the CIOT is by examination, and recognised as the gold standard of UK taxation education.
